LA Street Food was proud to help hook-up Vchos truck with Brisk for the Azteca promotion this past summer. The elixir-like Brisk flavors went down perfectly with LA's first pupusa truck, which specializes in Central American dishes like empanadas, pastelitos and their trademark sliders. The gourmet truck made stops all around LA, delivering great fresh food and free ice cold Brisk, which can best be described in three words: That's Brisk Baby!

Toni's Soul Burgers: Soul food in a bun.

Hidden in the shadow of Hollywood Park, is a tiny family-run burger shack that may have come up with the most innovative and least likely comfort food hybridization since the Hawaiian pizza or Kogi taco. Toni’s Soul Burger gives much-needed depth and distinction to the often-polarizing turkey burger with down-home soul food flavors (yams, collard greens, mac ‘n’ cheese) that give the tender, hand-formed patties life. Burger purists might call it a convoluted bastardization, but in the age of Umami Burger, daring innovation should be applauded, especially for combining two quintessential American comfort classics. Food Network’s Outrageous Food, featured their "Outrageous Extreme Soul Burger," but LASF would go with the "Luscious Yam" or the "Down-Home" (think Thanksgiving on a bun). There are also fried chicken, pork chop, veggie and a filet of fish offerings. The burgers are a full meal with the best sides essentially already inside the bun. The place is tiny, but the service comes with a smile or an old R & B story from owner Toni Malone, as its become a of rite of passage for the food blogger community.

Sneak Eat: Blossom (Silverlake)

Stopped in at Blossom's new spot in Silverlake. Lots of surprises. Definitely a different look and vibe from the DTLA location (which you can find on the LASF app). Look for a review in the upcoming update.
